interviewing Ida from the book the red ball

hello there it is me again on the same day but a different blog post. today our teacher told us to do a flip grid on two people in a book called the red ball which is a very cool book. I enjoyed making this video with my friend. It was interesting to know that filming a news is very hard because you have to take a lot of takes. I learned that when you keep trying and you never give up and get it because I kept trying to post this video and it didn't work so I tried a different way and it worked.

I hope you enjoy

Comparing two people

Hello there people thanks for looking at this blog post. This week we read a story called the read ball and we had to compare the two people that were involved in the story. I enjoyed writing about what was the same and what was different. it was interesting to know that they were not that different. I learned that even when you think you are different then others but you are not all of us are the same.

Spanish flu report

What is it?

The spanish is a virus like the coronavirus. It is deadly and very harmful. It spread like peanut butter and jelly but not on bread but on people and 100 million were dead and 500 million were infected or should I say sick they didn’t get infected they got sick and it started in 1918 and until 1920 which 2 years ( WHAT )

When did it start?

It started in 1918 and it spread until 1920 until that time there were lots of cases and lots of deaths. World war 1 was going when the spanish flu started.
( fun fact) did you know that Spain wasn’t in WW 1 ( world war 1 ) and the spanish people kept saying “ ohh this virus is dangers this virus is dangers “ and that is how it got the name spanish flu.

How did it come to NZ ( New Zealand ) ?

One day in NZ a long time ago A ship came to NZ and it was called the RMS Nigara and it came to NZ Auckland and the people of Auckland thought that the ship was in lockdown but it wasn’t and the virus kept spreading so the people started blaming the ship because the NZ soldiers went to Europe for WW 1  and that's how it came to NZ .  one day they made a chamber that was for the virus but people started getting very close to each other and it started spreading. When it started spreading the blamed it on the morie people  because they thought that that were the cuse.

What happened to the people?

It is the same as coronavirus when you have it you fall sick and for the old people  they die in coronavirus but it is the 20 years old and until 30 years old are infected badly from it. The spanish flu  was more deadly than the coronavirus; it has killed 50 to 100 million people the spanish flu .

What I found interesting

I find it interesting that why do they still call it the spanish flu when it has nothing to do with it because the spanish flu started in America so why is it called the spanish flu and even in world war 1 they were just talking about it and they just didn’t join the war. So it’s like the world is blaming them that they started it and they spread it.

distance learning

for a few weeks our school was doing distance learning. if you don't know what distance learning is well distance learning is where you learn form home and your teachers are the same. but in NZ they have opened the school for the people can't work from home can send their children to school so they can still learn. but in distance learning there is a video call you have to do even if you are in school or not. our school has been doing distance learning for a sometime because of the COVID 19 lookdown. in distance learning our teachers send us a time table that tells us what we have to do in the whole week and we follow it . that was my blog about telling what distance learning is and how we are doing it.

hope you enjoyed.
